Killer in the Dark Lets turn the clock all the way back to E3 2004 for a few moments. Games like Doom 3, Half-Life 2, Splinter Cell 3 and Black & White 2 fought for the limelight. In a corner, publisher THQ stood under the shadows but still optimistic about the future of their new game which they called ‘S.T.A.L.K.E.R : Shadow of Chernobyl’. It’s been over a year since then and even E3 2005 has gone by but the developers at GSC Game World are still working hard on it. Back with a flashbang Sam Fisher returns as the no nonsense, highly flexible, multiple lung endowed, pistol wielding hero. The third offering from the creators of such global hits like Splinter cell and Pandora Tomorrow return with their butterfly wing flapping wreaking havoc in Texas inspired title Chaos Theory. SiN Episodes Emergence Preview - PC

Ritual Entertainment showed off an alpha version of Emergence at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This will be the first episode in the SiN Episodes series slated for a first quarter release this year. As promised, the game will be published through Steam and will cost under $20. The complete SiN Episodes series will span a total of nine episodes. Emergence will have around four to six hours of gameplay. For all have sinned. I remember back in 1998, I was shopping for games and I found a copy of SiN and bought it simply because it had a cool character and logo on the box. I remember reading the synopsis on the back and realizing that this FPS actually had a cool storyline. I remember going back home and installing the game and I clearly remember the game taking twelve minutes to load. I also clearly remember the game crashing almost a dozen times each time I played it. They say that an old man never forgets his roots no matter where life takes him. Sid Meier seems to have caught this bug pretty badly. A year after re-designing his 1987 classic, Pirates! and releasing it on PC and Xbox in a span of 8 months, Firaxis and 2K Games bring out yet another pioneer game of the “God”, Sid Meier’s Railroads! As you can guess this game is a modern take on the all time classic Railroad Tycoon, developed by Sid Meier when he was with Microprose in 1990. Shadowgrounds Preview - PC

Overview: Amidst the crowded action shooter market, Shadowgrounds comes on as a breath of fresh air, with its unique top-down perspective, realistic lighting and a good storyline. Frozenbyte from Finland develops this shooter. The game has already garnered good reviews from the countries it was released in, namely Finland, Germany, to name a few. Uncle Sam wants you Nearly everyone played Serious Sam: The First Encounter developed by Croatia, and loved the graphics, the sounds and the gameplay. It proved to be a top selling game, giving gamers what everyone secretly itches for, a game with little thinking, lot of weapons and a world to blow up. When The Second Encounter was released, they pumped up the adrenaline by adding bigger guns, beautiful environments and wave after wave of enemies making a splash with a sweet humorous aftertaste. Strategy gamers were in for a pleasant surprise when it was revealed that Sega would be releasing another expansion pack for Rome: Total War series.
