Microsoft to make Xbox 360 Pro Cheaper by $50

Apparently, reports are afloat of Microsoft slashing the Xbox 360 20 GB Pro’s price by $50. The report seems to be coming from the Hollywood Reporter which supposedly got the news from an insider. Well, God knows what Microsoft is thinking, if the reports are true.

However, instead of just considering this to be a rumor lets believe that the bestselling Xbox model will be now available for $299 only. Isn’t it cool? This means that Xbox 360 Pro will be a 100 $ cheaper than Sony’s 40 GB version of PS3 which is priced at $399. Whoa!

It is speculated that Microsoft will be announcing the cut in the price before the E3 trade summit that is scheduled on July 16 this year. Well let’s hope the news to be true since the Microsoft gaming console had earlier undergone a price cut of $50 making it available at $349 from $399.
