Million Metal Gear Solid 4 Copies Shipped in Europe by Konami

The twelfth day of June has come and gone. Hundreds of thousands of gamers all over the world got what they had been waiting for a long time, PlayStation 3’s very own blockbuster title, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Now Konami has sent word that they have shipped over one million copies of MGS 4 to retailers across Europe.

Martin Schneider is the sales and marketing director for Konami. He said, “The Metal Gear Solid series has again proved its huge potential, and we are happy with the fantastic response the game has enjoyed at MGS4 is nothing short of a masterpiece, an epic conclusion to the Solid Snake story. We are really pleased with the positive feedback we have received from retail and consumers alike, and will keep satisfying their needs with updates to the game’s ‘Extra’ option, and via new content to Metal Gear Online.”

Konami has stated that there was an exceptional demand got MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots in Europe and indicated that there were high sales confirmed in all European territories. Also, it has said that the stealth action game has secured the top spot in the relevant sales charts. Konami said that the limited edition MGS4 sets were also very popular in Europe.
