Summer holidays are ready to bring in joy. For kids, the most entertaining games could be Wii due to its 2-in-one feature of offering enjoyment along with exercise. For Wii lovers, a new game has come out that expects children to throw, grab and blast their way to achieve scores. EA and Steven Spielberg have collaborated to launch the high-energy game for Nintendo Wii. Called BOOM BLOX, it asks gamers to pass through almost four hundred levels of planned demolition.
In the family-game, players have to annihilate while passing each way with the brain-twisting challenges. If a family member wants to play in a single-player mode, co-op or and versus multiplayer, they are free to do the same. The BOOM BLOX comes with 30 crazy characters that have their own distinct personalities and nature.
Steven Spielberg explained, “BOOM BLOX was designed to be interactive, pure escapism, and fun for kids of all ages. My hope is that it will be a great shared family experience.”
Marion “Fluffy” McCluck, the bomb blox-laying chicken and Boots Beaverton, who likes to make the BOOM BLOX explode, are some of the fun-playing characters who are part of the Tiki, Medieval, Frontier and Haunted-themed worlds.
“As we developed BOOM BLOX, we realized that the possibilities with the puzzles were endless,” commented Louis Castle, Executive Producer. “We wanted to extend that element of wonder and discovery to players and even give them the chance to share those puzzles with their friends. We feel we’ve reached a new level of creative and immersive game play with the uniqueness of the Wii system and are looking forward to seeing what kids create.”
Players will find it easy to play the game due to an easy-to-use in-game editor. They have to bring out their expertise of building and creating their own levels to life by entering the Create Mode. In addition, they also have the chance to remix any offered game levels with the help of any props, blocks, or characters that have been unlocked throughout the game.
If gamers think that their created levels look remarkably impressive then they can surely share it with friends or even use to challenge others for solving it.
BOOM BLOX game is rated ‘E’ for Everyone by the ESRB, 3+ by PEGI, and 6+ by the USK. It has already starting shipping in North America for $49.99 (approx. Rs. 1960). The European launch took place on 8th May, whereas 13th and 22nd May are slated to be the Asian and Japan releases respectively.
