Yoshi’s Cookie and Bases Loaded Coming to American VC

April 8, 2008

Yoshi's Cookie Nintendo has put an amazing lineup of games on the Virtual Console. A majority of them are from the Nintendo Entertainments System roster. This week, they have added two games, Yoshi’s Cookie and Bases Loaded on the American Virtual Console.

Here are the details of the games for the American VC:

First up, we have Yoshi’s Cookie, a puzzle game that has intuitive game play along with multiplayer action. It has roughly 100 stages’ worth of time. Gamers have to move rows and columns of haphazardly placed cookies in an effort to bring into line all the cookies of the same type. Successfully doing it makes the line disappear. The two player mode lets a player attack an opponent at the same time as competing to match as many cookies as possible.

Next up, we have a baseball game called as Bases Loaded. Gamers can choose from one of the twelve teams and set the lineup from some thirty players who have different strengths. What makes the game interesting is that the screen shows two different viewpoints during the gameplay. It has excellent graphics as well as strong play control.

Yoshi’s Cookie comes with a price tag of 500 Wii Points, so does Bases Loaded. Both these games are up on the American VC. Though games featuring Yoshi have been a favorite, it is nice to see a baseball game on the Virtual Console.
