Deca Sports for Nintendo Wii Goes Gold, says Hudson Entertainment

When one thinks about the Nintendo Wii, the first game that comes to the mind is Wii Sports. But besides it, there are no other blockbuster titles from the sports genre for the next-gen console. But all that is about to change!
Video games publisher Hudson Entertainment has sent word that Deca Sports has gone gold.
Deca Sports will feature ten complete sporting events. It has sports activities such as Soccer, Beach Volleyball, Supercross, Kart Racing, Basketball and Snowboard Cross along with Badminton, Figure Skating, Curling and Archery. It has pick-up-and-play instinctive controls for the Wiimote but three of the games also make use of the Nunchuck. There are advanced controls for power spikes, curls and mid air tricks.
Deca Sports will have single player and multiplayer modes for all the ten sports. In fact, four players can battle it out on one system and in several events, co-op on the same team. Open Match, Tournament, Deca Challenge and Deca League are part of the single player mode. There is even a Locker Room feature that lets gamers keep track of their medals and trophies.
Deca Sports has been developed in-house by Hudson. The game will be distributed in North America by Konami Digital Entertainment. Deca Sports has been developed exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. It will be out on May 13, 2008. The sports game will come with a price tag of $29.99 (approx. Rs. 1200).
