Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy Releasing in June 2008: Sierra
April 4, 2008
Though most gamers enjoy shooters, these days, the trends have changed as developers make action games that have elements of driving and fighting along with shooters. Now Sierra Entertainment has sent word that Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy video game will be out in June. It features Jason Bourne’s signature combat style along with hand-to-hand fighting, gunplay and dramatic escapes.
Al Simone is the senior VP of global marketing at Sierra Entertainment. He quoted, “Wrought with action, combat, elaborate escape scenes and untold story, the Bourne series is making a natural progression into the interactive medium. We are pleased to announce that this June gamers will have the ability to experience the dangerously exciting aura and frenzied pace inherent in the Bourne franchise.”
Emmanuel Valdez, Chief Creative Officer, High Moon Studios & Game Director on The Bourne Conspiracy explains, “We are creating a video game that is markedly Bourne, based on a deconstruction of the character from action hero to game hero, and one that we eventually believe gamers will discover as a distinctively original licensed action game.”
Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy will offer gamers a re-imagination of the high speed chase through Paris in the Mini Cooper. The game is about Jason Bourne’s past and the conspiracy veiling his origins. The combat system is co-designed by Jeff Imada. Gamers play the role of Bourne as both trained assassin and marked government agent. It will have instinct-based game mechanics along with an action driving experience.
Robert Ludlum’s The Bourne Conspiracy has been developed by High Moon Studios. They have collaborated with Bourne screenwriter Tony Gilroy for the character development and story. The game will release for the PS3 and the Xbox 360 on June 3, 2008 in North America. Europe will get the game a little later as it will release there on June 27, 2008.
