Titan Quest Review

January 23, 2008

Titan Quest Those who have played Diablo II and have liked it are sure to get impressed by yet another Role Playing Game called Titan Quest. Titan Quest which has been developed by Iron Lore entertainment and published by THQ is a truly exciting RPG which explores the ancient mythological history set in Greece.

Iron Lore entertainment has developed this game in such a way that you will feel as if you are playing an updated version of Diablo. The gameplay is really exciting and involves quests which allow you to explore the environment wherever you are. There are also close encounters with enemies and huge bosses which make the game very interesting.

The character creation is also very interesting in which you can select each and everything for your character from looks to what your character needs in case of armor and weaponry. There is also a sleek mastery system in which you can enhance the skills and powers of your character. When you complete the missions and advance further you will get equipped with new improved powers in your mastery system. You can select any power according to the quests and the difficulty involved. Those looking for a lengthy action RPG experience will find a lot to like in Titan Quest.

The world of Titan Quest is massive, and one of the best things about it is the strong sense of place it gives you. The game presents itself in huge, uninterrupted segments of land, with lots places to explore, hidden dungeons to find, and optional side-quests to undertake. The graphics and visuals are almost incredible with much effort put into in game screen visuals. Even the minutest details such as the swaying of grass have been taken care of by the developers at Iron Lore.

The high graphic detail however can take a toll on the system requirements due to which there can be changes in screen frame rates. There can also be little scratches due to the enhanced lightning effects which can be a bit irritating, but this can be forgotten if you focus just on the game story line.

The sounds are also great and suite the environment in which you are present. The music is good but the in-game voice effects are not so soothing.

Titan Quest is great and involves a lot of hours of game involvement. Hence those who have not forgotten the great old Diablo should give a try for this game.
